The Chicago Center for Psychodrama offers high quality Psychodrama trainings for all levels of experience. Come join Dr. Brittany Lakin-Starr and learn ways to enhance your therapeutic techniques through the art and science of psychodrama! Psychodramatic techniques can help clinicians from all theoretical models help patients work through problems at a deeper level, gain an increased understanding of core issues, become unstuck, learn new coping strategies, and create lasting change. Psychodrama is also helpful for attorneys to help them step into their clients' shoes and help get their stories across in the courtroom.
Dr. Lakin-Starr has provided trainings throughout the Chicago area at many medical centers and private practices including Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Mount Sinai Hospital, and Rush University Medical Center. If you would like to bring Dr. Lakin-Starr to your site, please contact us at info@chicagopsychodrama.com.
Dr. Lakin-Starr is also excited to be providing psychodrama trainings for the Center for Creative Arts Therapy, an arts based, psychotherapy practice and training center. They offer certification and certificate programs in drama therapy, expressive arts therapy, and therapeutic performing arts. These workshops are open to all interested participants, but also fulfill the psychodrama requirements for registered students in the drama therapy program.
Please note that at this time only trainings at the Center for Creative Arts Therapy are approved for CEU's for Social Workers and Counselors by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation, Approved Continuing Education Sponsor, (#159.001383). Each workshop through the Center for Creative Arts Therapy provides 15 CEUs for Social Workers and Counselors, 15 Psychodrama Hours, and 1 credit hour for Drama Therapy and Expressive Arts Therapy students.
